2024 Cloud City Farm Composting Info & Sign-up Form
This program runs on the honor system. Participation is currently only offered to residential households. By completing and submitting the sign-up form, you agree to follow all rules of the Cloud City Farm Composting program. C4 reserves the right to charge a fee for this service in the future, though you will be notified of any changes.
How it works:
Composting participants will have access to deposit materials in the Earth Tub composters at the Cloud City Farm (440 McWethy Dr) year-round as farm operations allow. Composting is open 7 days a week. In the winter months, it may take several days for the driveway to be plowed after snow storms- we appreciate your patience and understanding.
C4 staff will monitor and operate the Earth Tubs to ensure proper composting. Participants are responsible for washing/sanitizing their hands before and after visiting Cloud City Farm.
What’s Expected of You:
Participants will:
Only deposit compostable materials on the DO INCLUDE list below.
Respect all signage on the farm (including tubs that are marked CLOSED) and will not enter areas that are closed to the public.
Limit deposits to 2 gallons per week and add an equal part wood chips to the Earth Tub.
Maintain communication with C4 to support the safe and healthy operation of the Earth Tubs. If you have trouble with the Earth Tubs or see anything unusual, please report it to isabel@c4leadville.org.
Leave pets at home or in their car unless it is a service animal.
Consider volunteering with C4 to help manage the compost program. Learn more here.
