Details for 2024 Leadville Camp & Run
Overview: Each day will include opportunities to run/hike as a group or, if you prefer, on your own. Throughout the weekend we will offer various activities to learn more about the history of Leadville and give back to the community through a hands-on service project. We will gather together for lunch and dinner each day, and in the evenings we welcome everyone to join us around the campfire as we share stories, chat about this beautiful place, and discuss topics relevant to trail running and the environment.
Cost : $45 per person for the weekend, including camping, coffee, lunches, dinners, and some snacks.
Location: Printerboy Campground – Accessible, Group Campsite 4
Service Projects:
Saturday: Learn about regenerative farming and contribute to an impactful Cloud City Conservation Center’s farm project.
Sunday: Join the Friends of Lake County on a Halfmoon Road Cleanup.
Runs:
Saturday: Turquois Lake Run, Out & Back, beginning and ending at the Campsite. Choose your distance!
Sunday: Final run route TBD. Choose your distance!

Additional Information
What to Bring:
BYO: Bring your own reusable water bottle, plates and utensils
Water: This campground will not have water available. RPL will provide some communal water, but bringing a jug or two for yourself/to share is appreciated.
Personal food/drinks for breakfast (and snacks): Coffee will be provided in the morning. Lunches and Dinners and some snacks and beverage options will also be provided! Note: If you have food restrictions please let us know and consider bringing food that you know works for you! We will do our best to accommodate all but we may need your help!
Shoes: Trail appropriate shoes and running pack with hydration capability
Protection: Sunscreen, chapstick, and/or sun protective clothing.
Trail work clothing: Appropriate clothing for trail work/clean-up.
Camp gear: Tent, sleeping bag, headlamp, reusable water bottle, mug, plates, utensils, etc
Warm layers: Beanie, warm jacket, warm socks
Firewood: RPL will provide firewood but donation of a bundle or two is always appreciated.
Parking: Parking in our group camp is limited to 15 vehicles. We ask that participants carpool! Overflow parking will be available .5 miles offsite and our team is happy to shuttle guests.
Cell Service: Please be aware that there is no cell service at the campground. The closest cell reception is in town.
