What is the Colorado Youth Climate Summit (CYCS)?
The Colorado Youth Climate Summit (CYCS) is an educational initiative co-designed and co-led by youth leaders to
empower young people to address the impacts of climate change. By engaging with sustainability experts,
policymakers, and their peers, participants enhance their skills and resilience. The Youth Climate Summit is expected
to draw 50-100 youth from across the state. The program fosters critical thinking and leadership through problem-
based learning, enabling teens to develop their own climate action plans. CYCS provides access to cutting-edge
research and innovation science, connects with industry professionals, and showcases green career opportunities,
preparing youth to become climate advocates and leaders.

About AgriSummit
One of the most inspiring agricultural events of the year, the theme of Guidestone's 10th annual AgriSummit Conference is Nurturing Connections, Nourishing the Future. We'll highlight the many deep-rooted and widespread connections at the heart of local food systems. The event will offer educational sessions, networking opportunities, and discussions focused on local food production, food access and agritourism in our region. All Friday sessions will include simultaneous interpretation in Spanish.

Keynote Presentation: Rematriating the Rockies
How do we shift environmental conservation toward a more equitable and balanced future? Gemara Gifford will share her research on the pathways and barriers to rematriation in the Southern Rocky Mountain Region. “Rematriation” is a movement supporting the direct return of lands to Indigenous Peoples, the return of buffalo to their homelands, and the reclamation and resurgence of Indigenous Knowledge, cultural practices, languages, and lifeways.

A documentary that captures the inspiring movement of integrating environmental consciousness and sustainability into career-connected learning across rural Colorado. The documentary features youth sharing their stories about the environmental work they've done to protect and sustain innovative, resilient communities in the face of one of the world's greatest challenges.
Filmed in Leadville, the Yampa Valley and Durango, the documentary features local youth!

Two donors have committed to matching $6,500 in total! But we need your support to secure these matching funds and bring us to $13,000-- almost to our overall goal!
